ARTIST: TERESA WEBER

 My name is Teresa Weber and I am a leather artist. I traveled to the UK to train under master leathercrafters, Val Michael & Neil MacGreagor. I work with veg tanned leather that has been tanned the old way using vegetation and time to tan a hide respectfully. I stitch by hand using 2 needles, an awl, and linen thread. Stitching is slow and meticulous, but I have learned to trust processes that take time. Recently, I attended James Campbell Folk School in North Carolina and added pyrography to my leather art. My art is beautiful and created to stand the test of time.
