ARTIST: JOHANNA BUWALDA
Johanna Buwalda started taking art lessons at an early age and began learning about pottery around the age of 15 at a local studio. Her interest was influenced by her parents who had a large collection of contemporary pottery. In 2018, Johanna retired from her 30-year career as a war-trauma therapist, and moved to the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin where she established a home-based pottery studio. Johanna teaches all-level pottery classes at The Warehouse, and sells her work at regional art and craft fairs and galleries. Her studio is open by appointment or by chance.
